C. Lucas Kerr is the founder of VETRUN LLC - a SDVOSB and works with a team of experts to facilitate government sourcing, contracting and manufacturing. Lucas is a former US Army Ranger with the elite 75 Ranger Regiment - 1st Ranger Battalion - Savannah, GA. Lucas completed three tours as a Ground Force Commander in Iraq during his time as a Ranger Infantry Officer and worked with one of the largest government contractors immediately following his service. Lucas transitioned to work in the medical device industry with phenomenal success year in, year out for eight years. Lucas started VETRUN LLC as a result of seeing that his fellow veterans needed help whilst readjusting to life after combat along with the need for a company that produces US based manufacturing for a variety of products for both government contracts and civilian use.

From serving with the prestigious 1-75th Ranger Battalion to opening his own business in 2017, Lucas has worked for and with the government in multiple different capacities for over a decade. His elite military experience, when coupled with his government contracting knowledge, medical sales experience and US based manufacturing resources makes him a unique strategist for VETRUN LLC.

Captain Richard L. Hughes
Richard Hughes, VETRUN’s senior development engineer has a vast breadth of knowledge of over 35 years across many industries - including manufacturing, medical, rehabilitation and product design. Richard created a specialty system for US Army, Institute for Surgical Research along with becoming an expert in FDA 510k clearances. Richard has overseen numerous multi-million dollar projects and delivered first production units in record time in all instances. Richard is also a USCG Licensed Master mariner with extensive experience, licensed to Captain anywhere in the world.
